Some questions we have heard throughout our journey and the simple answers to them.
Q. Why can't I just clean my own dorm/suite/house?
I personally love this question! It's very common especially during the first week or two of college. I speak when I say it is possible to clean your own room consistently; however the chances of the majority of students doing are slim to none. The reason we created this service is because we know how college students live. Ron graduated from Hofstra in 2006 and Jason is still a current student at Rutgers University. We speak from experience when we know just how bad it can get. The objective is to provide you with an affordable, high quality solution that can be used to take your mind off the negative aspects of not living in a clean environment.
Q. What if my things are stolen or damaged?
The cleaners never enter any type of compartment or holding area when cleaning (Cabinets, desk droors, chests, safes, etc.) so anything inside of those would not even be looked at. Also whenever our cleaners show up a student or someone with access must be available to allow them entrance into the building and room, but we do understand that you may at times have to leave them there on their own to go about your daily business.
If it does come down to the unfortunate event that something of value has been removed from the room then that is what the cleaning insurance is there for. The item of course would be replaced as soon as possible at no cost to the customer. If we received several complaints against the cleaners then of course they would be fired pending an investigation.
If an item is damaged during cleaning then of course our insurance will always cover that also.
Q. I want DormClean.com's services but there are no packages just for me...
DormClean.com accomidates all needs for all customers. If you ever need a customized package simply email us at support@dormclean.com and we will immediately set one up for you and give you a reasonable and customized price.
Q. I live on off-campus housing, can I still get DormClean.com ?
Yes! DormClean.com is a service for students, not just students living on campus. We serve off-campus housing in all areas and of all types. If you have special housing and need a custom package just email us at support@dormclean.com and we can accomidate your needs!
Q. Great idea! I would love to try the service but I don't know if I could shell out the money.
I would like to note that your "question" is really a statement.
When we developed DormClean.com our objective was simple. How can we provide the most affordable service while retaining a superior quality and value? In keeping with this objective we have developed a service with the LOWEST price of ANY of our competitors. I encourage you to do some research and see what else is available. I am confident that we are the best value for the money. If you do find a lower competitive price let us know; we will be sure to find a way to beat it!
We fully understand what its like to be broke and in college but consider this:
One time cleans are $40/$60/$100 respectively.
$40 divided by the two people sharing a dorm is $20 each. $20 can buy you three beers, two movie tickets, a cheap dinner for two, or some other equally unimpressive things. I promise you the person you are trying to get to know better will like you better if you present yourself as a clean and organized individual instead of trying to impress them with $20.
$60 divided by four suite mates equals $15 bucks each!
$100 divided by six house mates equals $17 bucks each!
That's just for the basic cleans. If we do the math (email us if you want to see the math) the prices for the semester and yearly plans are really miniscule.
I could go on but you get the idea. It is affordable and it is a better investment in yourself then the other ideas.
Q. How come you don't do all the other things like laundry, food shopping, data storage, etc?
First I would like to note that these services are possible in the future, however we felt that we could better serve a niche instead of trying to spread ourselves too thin. Also, going back to our main objective of providing the most affordable service while retaining superior quality and value, it is easier for us to provide the lowest prices if we focus on one area (the most needed) of service.
Q. How come there are only emails, no phone numbers?
Good question! I know it is not the normal method of handling business but as I said it goes back to our business model of the most affordable prices and best service. Both owners, all of our receptionists, and our cleaners have access to emails on the go. By not having to pay for specific business phones we can pass those savings onto you. |
